We are pleased to inform you that the traditional event "Days of Okra" will be held on August 22, 2025, starting at 8:00 PM in the Old Town of Ulcinj.

This year’s Days of Okra will also feature an international culinary competition focused on preparing dishes with okra.

Dedicated to this extraordinary plant - known for its unique flavor and healing properties - the event offers tourists and visitors the chance to sample an authentic gastronomic specialty: Okra prepared in the traditional Ulcinj style. This dish is proudly recognized as Montenegro’s ninth protected product bearing the national quality mark, officially certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Montenegro on May 17, 2022 (Decision no. UP-I-05-307/21-14188/8).

The event carries significant importance, not only for the local community as a celebration of the Ulcinj-style Okra brand, but also as a point of pride on the national level.

Alongside the culinary festivities, a rich cultural and entertainment program will complement this international, educational, and thematically inspired gathering.

Tasting of the Ulcinj-style Okra - a guaranteed traditional specialty - is free for all guests.
